Overview The Executive Assistant to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) is a key administrative professional responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the CIO and the Office of Information Technology at Middlesex County.

This role goes beyond traditional administrative duties-serving as a strategic partner who helps streamline operations, manage high-level communications, and ensure the smooth execution of office initiatives.

The Executive Assistant plays a pivotal role in maintaining organizational efficiency by pro-actively managing the CIO's schedule, coordinating internal and external meetings, preparing critical documents and reports, and acting as a liaison between the CIO, county departments, and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, resourceful, and capable of handling sensitive information with the utmost discretion while thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic government environment.

Key Responsibilities: * Manage the CIO's calendar, coordinate meetings, and handle scheduling conflicts with professionalism and discretion.

* Prepare and edit correspondence, reports, presentations, and other documents.

* Act as a liaison between the CIO, internal departments, and external partners.

* Track office projects, follow up on deadlines, and provide status updates as needed.

* Assist in coordinating office-wide meetings, events, and training sessions.

* Serve as the first point of contact to answer, screen and transfer incoming calls as well as office visitors and others.

* Review and route incoming communications, including emails and calls, responding where appropriate.

* Maintain organized records and confidential files in both digital and hard copy formats.

* Support the preparation of budget materials, procurement documentation, and vendor coordination.

* Perform other administrative duties and special projects as assigned by the CIO.

Qualifications: * Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, or related field preferred.

* 3+ years of experience in an executive assistant or high-level administrative support role.

* Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and modern collaboration tools.

* Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.

* Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.

* Experience in a government or technology-related environment is a plus.

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: * $41,000-63,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
