Job Description

At Classical Prep, the role of the full-time Daytime Custodian is to be a self-motivated professional who can attend our facilities with integrity and attention to detail. This role is an integral part of our school. Custodians are responsible for general care, cleaning, and minor maintenance of the building, grounds, and equipment on campus. Custodians will work consistently to provide a clean, hazard-free, and safe environment for staff and students.

Overview

Position: Full-time, hourly, 12 month non-exempt

Work Schedule: 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM daily, 172 days, plus occasional training days provided in advance.

Must be able to pass a level 2 background check.

Benefits: Insurance benefits the first of the month following your hire date of full-time employment, a 3% match of employee retirement contribution (after one year of employment), and 10 days of PTO.

Reports to Facilities Manager.

Specific tasks required of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:

Clean and disinfect bathrooms, common areas, and classrooms

Clean AC filters and vents

Exterior grounds maintenance including, but not limited to dusting, removing cobwebs, emptying trash, picking up trash

Sweep, mop, vacuum floors, and wash windows

Collect and dispose of trash

Restock bathrooms and sanitization supplies

Responsible for the overall cleanliness of all areas of the school to ensure a positive environment

Ensure a safe environment at all times

Moving and/or relocating furniture and equipment

Overtime Eligibility

This job is not exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act; therefore, it is eligible for overtime pay.
