**Position Summary**

CVS Health/Aetna is working to transform the way Ohio experience health care – improving quality, emphasizing whole-person wellness, and driving down costs. Aetna is hiring a local Broker Manager to support the growth of our industry leading Medicare business for the Youngstown/Canton market. This is a highly collaborative role that will report to the Sales Director and drive local broker distribution and sales success.

Accountable for driving and achieving company defined distribution channel sales goals and objectives.

Responsible for the execution of market strategy impacting the recruitment, onboarding, engagement, production, and compliance adherence of assigned independent broker base.

Travel expectations include local broker and agency activity, market team meetings, territory, and grassroots leads, and overall, in-person sales activity

Local sales director will provide guidance on expectations for field visits.

**Fundamental Components/Job Description**

+ Responsible for meeting established health plan broker sales goal through management of assigned block of brokers.

+ Prospects for and recruits new brokers through collaboration with National and Direct agency relationships or through broker marketing activities targeted direct to the brokers.

+ Achieves ample market coverage through persistent recruiting activities.

+ Responsible for identifying and developing local preferred brokers to support the attainment of health plan goals.

+ Responsible for onboarding new brokers by supporting their navigation of contracting, certification, and initial and recurrent training requirements.

+ Provides leadership for all broker training, recertification, and testing through in-person and webinar-based resources for individual and group meetings

+ Responsible for driving sales by creating and maintaining partnerships.

+ Strategy should utilize the deployment of various tactics such as in-person, telephonic, and written communication methods, and information management.

+ Responsible for ongoing individual broker management and Local Agency Development.

**Compliance Responsibilities:**

+ Compliance responsibilities include:

+ Fulfilling company required agent monitoring opportunities on a quarterly basis

+ Documenting broker monitoring

+ Following through with agent oversight watchlist requirements

+ Coordinates response to broker-related complaints.

+ Responsible for ensuring broker adherence to all CMS and Aetna guidelines.

+ Monitors compliance with state, federal, and health plan regulatory requirements.

+ Prioritize broker relationships and optimize the broker development program

+ Assist brokers with the appropriate process for member service and health plan resources

+ Broker self-service tools

**Required Qualifications**

+ Minimum 5 years Medicare sales and Broker Development experience

+ Ability to use standard corporate software packages and corporate applications.

+ Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

+ Appropriate state licensure to sell insurance as required, annual Medicare certification is required.

+ Must reside in Ohio in or near these counties: Trumbull, Mahoning, Stark, Portage

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Sales management experience preferred.

+ Minimum 5 years Medicare Advantage sales and/or broker sales experience required.

+ Sales management experience preferred.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

+ Ability to communicate in person, telephonically, written, and over WebEx

+ Ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and corporate applications.

+ Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.

+ Active Ohio state license life/health

+ Bachelor’s degree preferred

**Education**

Associate degree or equivalent work experience bachelor’s degree preferred.

**Pay Range**

The typical pay range for this role is:

$54,400.00 - $113,934.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
