Description:

Are you passionate about building the future of EV charging hardware? Do you thrive in a fast-paced startup, leading teams to design next-gen products?

We're looking for a Director of Hardware Engineering to drive innovation in our AC/DC chargers, POS terminals, and networking hardware. Join us as we accelerate the transition to sustainable transportation!

Why Loop Global?

We’re a rapidly growing EV charging startup backed by top investors, committed to making charging seamless and reliable. Our network already powers 7,500+ chargers and you’ll help us scale to tens of thousands more.

What You’ll Do

You’ll lead a small but mighty team and have a direct impact on our roadmap, culture, and growth.

Lead & Inspire: Build, mentor, and scale our hardware engineering team. Cultivate a culture of creativity, accountability, and technical excellence.

Own Product Development: From concept sketch to production line—drive the full lifecycle of AC/DC charging stations, POS devices, and network modules.

Design for Tomorrow: Champion embedded Linux/Android systems, EV protocols (OCPP 1.6/2.0.1, DIN SPEC, ISO 15118), HMI design, plus NFC/Bluetooth mobile integrations.

Collaborate & Innovate: Work hand-in-hand with software, product, QA, and contract manufacturers to deliver robust, scalable solutions on tight timelines.

Build Auxiliaries: Provide oversight on pedestals, cable retractors, and other supporting equipment that make our chargers stand out in the field.

Drive Strategy: Scout emerging tech (advanced NFC/Bluetooth, cybersecurity for networked hardware) and set our hardware roadmap for years to come.

Who You Are

Seasoned Leader: 10+ years in hardware engineering, with at least 5 years leading high-impact teams bonus if you’ve shipped EV charging hardware or POS/networking devices.

Technical Guru: Deep expertise in embedded systems (Linux/Android), power electronics, digital design, and EV charging standards (OCPP, ISO 15118). Hands-on with Altium/Cadence and DFT/DFM best practices.

Startup Mentality: You move quickly, adapt on the fly, and can juggle multiple priorities without missing a beat.

Excellent Communicator: You effortlessly translate complex hardware challenges to both engineers and execs, align stakeholders, and drive consensus.

Collaborative Partner: Experience working with contract manufacturers, OEMs, and cross-functional teams to launch hardware at scale.

Ready to Charge Up Your Career?

If you’re excited to lead hardware innovation and help Loop Global shape the EV charging landscape, we want to hear from you.
