Job Summary
Energy Hire is seeking a highly organized and experienced Project Manager to lead and coordinate technology initiatives across multiple vendors, functional teams, and stakeholders. This role will play a critical part in driving execution across software development projects that support Energy Hire’s fast-growing platform and operational growth. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in project management for software development, combined with strong vendor management, cross-functional leadership, and early-stage startup experience. Industry knowledge in job search services, HR technology, or the energy sector is a plus. This is a hybrid role based in Austin, TX, with flexible in-office collaboration as needed.

We are now expanding our team with a Project Manager who will play a key role in coordinating and executing our technology and product development roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate multiple concurrent software development projects and technology initiatives.
Lead project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and vendor coordination.
Serve as the primary liaison between internal leadership, engineering vendors, product managers, and business stakeholders.
Track and report project status, risks, and issues to executive leadership.
Facilitate vendor management including scope definition, contract negotiation support, and performance oversight.
Ensure timely delivery of technology initiatives aligned with business objectives and customer needs.
Coordinate multi-functional teams and external vendors to ensure successful cross-platform and system integrations.
Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and roadblocks, and develop mitigation strategies.
Contribute to process improvements and establish scalable project management practices as the company grows.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of professional project management experience, with a focus on software development projects.
Demonstrated success managing multi-vendor and cross-functional technology teams.
Experience with project management frameworks (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid approaches).
Strong vendor management skills and experience negotiating scope, deliverables, and timelines.
Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in early-stage or growth-stage technology startups.
Industry experience in job search services, HR technology, or energy sector solutions.
Familiarity with SaaS platforms, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure), and enterprise software integrations.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar credentials.
