Job Summary

Under general supervision of the Deputy Director of Information Technology, the IT Analyst will provide the Pueblo West Metropolitan District with Information Technology support to optimize operational efficiency. Duties include troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, maintaining hardware and software installations, mobile devices, hardware malfunctions, livestream Board meetings, website updates and maintenance, and other IT related issues. This position will also provide basic IT helpdesk technical support to end users throughout the District.

Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications.

Ensure security and privacy of computer systems.

Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve end user network and application specific problems.

Ability to update and maintain websites and other web-based platforms.

Ability to navigate and utilize SaaS platforms and applications.

Utilize asset management software to maintain IT inventory.

Support other members of the work team in meeting customer needs.

Provide technical support, advice, and assistance with technical, hardware, and software system problems.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Basic working knowledge of computers and peripherals.

Experience with O365

Experience with Google Workspace

Knowledge of Apple iOS, iPhones, and iPads.

Proven experience as an IT technician or relevant position.

Flexibility in adjusting to changing circumstances, information, employee, and customer needs.

Work independently with little or no supervision, with a high level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Ability to effectively communicate and present information and respond to District Directors and District employees.

Ability to organize, plan and prioritize work. Utilize problem solving skills, analytical thinking in gathering and analyzing data. Ability to work under pressure, time constraints and deadlines.

Ability to manage the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, and materials needed.

Ability to effectively practice conflict management to resolve interpersonal conflict.

Ability to identify and recommend solutions to problems in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications (Note: Any acceptable combination of education, training and experience that provides the above knowledge, abilities and skills may be substituted.)

2 or more years of experience Desktop Support.

2 or more years of experience in a LAN/WAN environment.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Colorado driver’s license.

Preferred Education/Certifications

Associate’s degree from an accredited institution in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field of study preferred.

3 or more years of experience Desktop Support.

3 or more years of experience in a LAN/WAN environment.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Colorado driver’s license.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position.

Normal days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Physical Demands

Frequent use of keyboard devices, light to moderate lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, crawling, crouching and climbing.

Repair procedures requiring climbing into small spaces and the occasional use of ladders.

Requires worker to walk or stand for long periods; lift and carry up to 50 pounds; climb stairs, bend, reach, hold, grasp and turn objects; and use fingers to operate computer keyboards. The work requires the ability to speak normally and to use normal or aided vision and hearing.

Unusual Demands

Work is subject to frequent interruptions and deadlines.

Will be required to work a flexible schedule depending on the project being completed. Some early mornings, late evenings and weekends will be required.

Will be required to rotate with other IT staff to live stream Board meetings.
