We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicatedOracle HCM Payroll Module Subject Matter Expert (SME)to join our team in San Jose, CA. This is an onsite role that requires deep functional and technical expertise in Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll, particularly within a complex enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will be a critical resource for implementing, optimizing, and supporting our Oracle HCM Payroll solutions, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in all payroll operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary functional and technical SME for the Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll module, providing expert guidance and solutions.
Lead and participate in all phases of the Oracle HCM Payroll implementation lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
Translate complex business requirements into effective Oracle HCM Payroll solutions, including payroll calculations, deductions, earnings, taxes, and integrations.
Configure and maintain payroll elements, fast formulas, payroll flows, and other payroll-related setups within Oracle HCM Cloud.
Collaborate closely with HR, Finance, IT, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and alignment of payroll processes with broader business objectives.
Conduct comprehensive testing (unit, integration, UAT) of payroll configurations and functionalities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Develop and deliver training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users and support staff on Oracle HCM Payroll functionalities.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex payroll-related issues, providing timely and effective support to end-users.
Stay current with Oracle HCM Cloud updates, new features, and best practices, evaluating their impact and recommending adoption where beneficial.
Assist in data migration strategies and execution related to payroll data.
Develop documentation for processes, configurations, and functional specifications.
Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams for custom enhancements and integrations related to payroll.
Required Experience & Skills:
Minimum of8-10 years of hands-on experiencespecifically with Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll module implementations, configurations, and support.
Demonstrable expertise in core payroll processes, including gross-to-net calculations, tax reporting, year-end processing, and legislative compliance (US payroll experience is critical).
In-depth understanding of Oracle HCM Cloud architecture and integration capabilities with other modules (e.g., Absence Management, Time & Labor, Benefits, Core HR).
Proficiency in configuring payroll elements, fast formulas, payroll flows, payment methods, and legislative data groups.
Experience with data migration strategies and tools within Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex payroll system issues.
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, onsite environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll certification(s).
Experience with Oracle HCM Cloud release upgrades and their impact on the payroll module.
Familiarity with other Oracle HCM modules.
Experience with large-scale enterprise payroll operations.
