Job Description

Salary: $65,000-$80,000

Developer Job Duties:

Analyze user requirements, develop and implement system features and functionality with the team.

Design and conduct unit and integration tests.

Design and create custom reports and update/maintain existing ones.

Design, implement and maintain internal tooling for SDLC (software development life cycle).

Self-manage work via ticketing system.

Contribute to team meetings; troubleshoot development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.

Supports users by developing documentation and assistance tools.

Work closely with the Business Analysts to support development needs in IFS

Updates job knowledge by researching new internet/intranet technologies and software products; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Developer Skills and Qualifications:

Programming Languages: Proficiency in Java, and ideally several other popular programming languages like Python, JavaScript, Rust, C or C++, Objective-C

Objected Oriented Methodology: Understand polymorphism, encapsulation, and the other pillars of O-O programming.

Data Structures and Algorithms: A solid understanding of how to organize and process data efficiently

Software Engineering Practices: Knowledge of best practices for software development, such as version control, debugging (using debuggers in an IDE or command line), testing, and agile methodologies

Problem-solving: The ability to analyze problems and develop effective solutions

Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential for collaborating with other team members

Collaboration: Working effectively as part of a team

Continuous learning: Stay up to date with the latest technologies and trends in the industry

Ability to take direction, communication and supervision from others and upper levels of management

Work Location/Schedule: On site in Minneapolis-based office. Monday-Friday day shift, flexible. Travel: 0 10%
