Job Title: Lab Technician ($22-$25/hour)

Job Description

As a Lab Technician, you will engage in ice machine testing related to existing product variants, test fixtures, and verification and validation activities for New Product Development. This position is technical and hands-on in nature, requiring you to follow all test procedures and instructions using appropriate instrumentation and standard methods per internal specifications.

Responsibilities

Conduct ice machine testing related to existing product variants and test fixtures.

Engage in verification and validation activities for New Product Development.

Follow all test procedures and instructions using appropriate instrumentation and standard methods per internal specifications.

Know and follow all necessary safety procedures and actively participate in department-specific meetings and activities.

Operate lab equipment such as refrigerant recovery units, torch, scale, water flow meter, overhead hoist, dimensional and electrical measuring equipment.

Perform computer data entry and use Microsoft Office & National Instruments Data acquisition systems.

Understand the basic function and troubleshooting methods of common refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical components.

Work as a contributing member of the Engineering Lab Team and Engineering Group.Essential Skills

E.P.A Type I or II refrigerant handling certificate (or acquire within 1 year of hire).

Knowledge of test equipment: mechanical, electrical, refrigeration.

Ability to perform basic processes such as brazing, leak detection, soldering, refrigerant charging, refrigerant recovery, and troubleshooting.

Associate degree, Technical Diploma, or Certificate in HVACR, Electro-Mechanical, Electronics OR 1-3 years of experience in HVACR, Electro-Mechanical, Electronics in lieu of degree.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with Microsoft Office & National Instruments Data acquisition systems.

Work Environment

Work in a technical and hands-on environment equipped with advanced lab equipment such as refrigerant recovery units, torches, scales, water flow meters, overhead hoists, and dimensional and electrical measuring tools. You will also utilize computer systems for data entry and analysis, contributing to a collaborative engineering group.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of NA, Wisconsin.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $44000.00 - $54000.00/yr.
