2nd Shift Machine Operator $18/hourJob Description
We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team with the opportunity to advance to a Slitter Operator role. Training will be provided; however, having basic machine operation knowledge will set you up for success. You will work alongside a team of 3 to 4 members, assist additional packers when needed, and participate in various operational tasks.
Responsibilities
Assist with loading and unloading of machinery.
Conduct quality checks on steel during and after processing to ensure correct operation.
Utilize measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
Handle shipping and receiving of material within the facility.
Move materials around the facility.
Consistently work in a safe manner.Essential Skills
Experience in manufacturing environments (such as press operation, steel, heavier plastics, larger machinery, injection mold, slitting).
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Proficiency in reading a tape measure to 1/16".
Experience using hand and power tools.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with overhead cranes.
Previous experience as a Slitter Operator.
Forklift operation skills.

Work Environment
You will be part of a 40-50 person steel operation in a clean, well-lit facility with modern machinery. The company operates three shifts (6-2, 2-10, 10-6) with available openings on the 2nd shift for setup and operation. Standard workweek is 40 hours, with voluntary overtime available. Required PPE includes a hard hat, safety glasses, arm sleeves, hearing protection in specific areas, high-visibility vest, and steel-toe shoes. The company provides uniforms for employees.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Butler, Indiana.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
