Your role.

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

Report directly to the AR/Collections Manager.

Process and guide staff through daily cash transactions.

Work diligently and with little guidance to produce error-free work.

Download CPW reports daily and populate each entity's cashbook with transactions for balancing.

Audit cash receipt batches to ensure remitters have been updated daily.

Analyze and report daily cash numbers to the CFO.

Prepare month-end miscellaneous cash receipt reconciliations for all entities.

Manage all cash batch approvals for all entities.

Approve all entity reimbursements and similar reconciliations.

Analyze daily and monthly cash balances for each entity and reconcile Workday Practice Management System with cashbook.

Research, resolve, and document all unapplied and mystery cash balances.

Prepare monthly KPIs for AR Manager review.

Review and approve staff expenses.

Review and resolve expense Helpdesk tickets.

Demonstrate understanding of billing, production, net revenue, and realization.

Assist with training of AR staff to ensure accuracy and consistent output.

Identify process enhancement opportunities

Create process improvement, training, and general process documents.

Coordinate with the Collections team to resolve client account discrepancies.

The qualifications.

At minimum, a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field

5+ years of experience with collections, invoicing, and/or accounts receivable.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles.

Strong attention to detail with a dedication to accuracy.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to analyze large sets of data.

High degree of familiarity with accounts receivable functions.

Familiarity with Workday applications is a plus

We are pleased to offer eligible staff a robust benefits package. Eligibility and contribution requirements for some of these benefits vary based on the number of hours staff work per week. A Pension plan is also available for eligible administrative and paraprofessional staff. A discretionary bonus plan is available for eligible staff. Plante Moran also offers Interns and Contractors the option to elect health insurance under our contingent staff medical plan as of the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment in addition to limited paid time sick time. Compensation is commensurate with technical skills and experience is provided in accordance with applicable state requirement. Compensation information posted is based on a position being located in the state of CO or IL. Please review the position location for the applicable geographic location.

Colorado monthly base range is as follows: $4,416.67-$6,250.00

Illinois monthly base range is as follows: $4,500.00 - $6,500.00
