The Columbus River Dragons, based in Columbus, Georgia, are a proud member of the Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL) and have built a strong reputation since their founding in 2019. Known for high-energy game nights at the Columbus Civic Center and a passionate fan base, we are committed to delivering an exciting, professional hockey experience both on and off the ice.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dedicated Ticketing Manager to lead the charge in ticket sales, service, and operations-ensuring every fan has an exceptional experience from purchase to puck drop.

Position Summary

The Ticket Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the River Dragons' ticketing strategy and operations, including full-season, partial-season, group, and single-game ticket sales, both in advance and on game days. This role also serves as the internal lead on Ticketmaster, ensuring accurate setup, reporting, financial reconciliation, and seamless event execution.

This is a dynamic opportunity for a ticketing professional with strong organizational, sales, and customer service skills who thrives in a fast-paced sports environment.

Key Responsibilities

Ticket Sales & Service:

Sell and renew full season, partial season, and group ticket packages to fans, businesses, and community organizations.

Prospect new leads and manage inbound sales opportunities to grow the River Dragons' fan base.

Develop relationships with group leaders and season ticket members to enhance retention and satisfaction.

Deliver best-in-class service on game days and during team-hosted events.

Execute proactive retention campaigns and touchpoint programs throughout the season. TicketMaster Operations & Reporting / Serve as the in-house Ticketmaster system expert (Host, TM1), responsible for:

Building events, schedules, seat manifests, pricing, and offers.

Managing comp ticket allocation and tracking account balances.

Handling upgrades, exchanges, and account maintenance.

Generate regular ticketing reports and interface with the finance team for:

Invoicing, payment processing, deposits, and daily reconciliation.

Game settlement reporting and financial audits. Gameday & Cross Departmental Collaboration:

Work all home games at the Columbus Civic Center, assisting with access control, box office troubleshooting, and VIP ticket fulfillment.

Coordinate with Game Operations, Marketing, and Community Relations to support promotions, giveaways, and special ticket packages.

Help implement crowd flow, ticket scanning, and customer support strategies for an optimal fan experience. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in sports management, business, marketing, or a related field preferred.

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in ticket operations or ticket sales, preferably in professional or minor league sports.

Proficiency with Ticketmaster systems (TM1, Host) is required.

Strong attention to detail and comfort with financial reporting, account management, and cash handling.

Proven ability to balance sales performance with service excellence.

High-level interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, team environment.

Proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel).

Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and all home games as required. Preferred Skills:

Experience in a sports/entertainment setting using Ticketmaster and CRM platforms.

Background in planning and fulfilling group ticket events.

Strong organizational skills and problem-solving abilities.
