Job Description Pharmacist - Onsite in Natchitoches, Louisiana Role and Responsibilities The CRx Staff Pharmacist (Employee) serves an integral role in delivering reliable, accessible, and innovative pharmacy care.

Employee is jointly responsible for all aspects of pharmacy operations and administration as determined by Director of Pharmacy/Management Team, ensuring the highest level of customer service is provided.

Employee will provide oversight in inventory management.

Employee will participate in training, coaching, and evaluating all pharmacy support staff.

Employee will help ensure compliance with all company procedures and federal and state laws, rules and regulations.

Employee will provide pharmacist coverage in the dispensing role.

Employee will monitor and resolve any third-party reimbursement and contracting issues; help develop and carry out policies and procedures; maintain the pharmacy security.Attend to the needs of customers with the highest level of customer service and care.Receive and document valid verbal and written prescription or refill requests and verify information is complete and accurate.Perform order entry of prescriptions into pharmacy database.Contact physicians and providers as necessary to process prescriptions.Maintain proper storage conditions and security of drugs.Prepare and supervise the preparation of medication orders.Check prescriptions for accuracy, correct dosage and strength, and drug interactions and incompatibilities.Provide patient consultations and counseling regarding new or existing prescriptions and non-prescription medications, help patients resolve health and medication-related problems.Supervise Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Support.Provide a professional environment for customers.Adhere to HIPAA requirements in relation to Pharmacy and Patient information.Support Customer Service when needed to research and resolve day to day processing issues in claim adjudications.Works closely with other departments to design and execute systems changes and enhancements for overall business functions as well as individual clients and members.Develops and maintain a working knowledge of current applicable laws and regulations and ensure all operations are conducted in a manner that is in compliance.Adheres to, and enforces, all company policies and procedures.Maintains a valid state pharmacist license in the state(s) licensed to practice.Ensure professional license is kept current and displayed appropriately.Responsible for obtaining the required number of Continuing Education (CE) hours as outlined by the State Board of Pharmacy.Promptly reports any license changes and any restrictions to Board of Pharmacy in State and to Human Resources.Complies with all annual licensure requirements which may include BLS and/or CPR Certification.Abide by all obligations under HIPAA related to Protected Health Information (PHI).If a HIPAA violation is discovered, whether individually or by another, you must report the violation to the Compliance Officer and/or Human Resources.Attend, complete, and demonstrate competency in all required HIPAA Training offered by the company.Flexibility to understand, appreciate and embrace that this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.

Supervisory Responsibility Ability to manage a department of licensed and non-licensed health care professionals.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a part-time position.

2-3 days per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.

to 6:00 p.m.

Required Education and ExperiencePhD in Pharmacy.

Preferred Education and ExperienceSpecialty Pharmacy and Mail Order experience.Managed care experience.Manufacturer coupon experience.
