About Company:
We are a member of Goodwill Industries International, a network of 155 independent, local Goodwills in the United States, Canada, and 12 other countries. Goodwill Tulsa is overseen by a volunteer Board of Directors, composed of local community leaders, who ensure we are meeting the needs of the citizens of this area. Goodwill Industries of Tulsa is headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Our territory includes 25 counties in Eastern Oklahoma and 2 counties in Southwest Missouri. We currently operate 13 retail stores and 30 donation centers.
About the Role:
The Warehouse Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our retail trade logistics. This position is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing products within the warehouse, which directly impacts our ability to meet customer demands efficiently. The Warehouse Associate will work closely with team members to maintain inventory accuracy and ensure that all products are handled with care. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are essential to minimize errors and accidents. Ultimately, the success of this role contributes to the overall effectiveness of our supply chain and customer satisfaction.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment.
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
Responsibilities:
Receive and inspect incoming donations for quality.
Organize and store products in designated areas of the warehouse.
Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Reaching, stooping, bending, handling, fingering, feeling, seeing, near-sighted acuity.
Lifting/carrying: Light Work—lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
Pushing/Pulling: Medium Work—Pushing 100 lbs. maximum with frequent pushing and/or pulling objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Skills:
The required skills for this position include physical stamina and attention to detail, which are essential for efficiently handling products and maintaining accurate inventory records. Organizational skills are vital for keeping the warehouse orderly and ensuring that items are easily accessible. Preferred skills, such as forklift operation and familiarity with inventory management software, enhance the efficiency of daily operations. Strong communication skills are also important for collaborating with team members and addressing any issues that may arise.
