Network Engineer

Job Description

ComResource is looking for a Network Engineer.

We need someone to assist in ensuring the company's network infrastructure is secure, efficient, and scalable. This role involves assessing the current network environment, identifying weaknesses and opportunities, and implementing improvements to enhance performance and security.

Responsibilities:

Conduct a full assessment of the network infrastructure, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and security threats.

Design and plan network architecture to align with business objectives, ensuring scalability and reliability.

Oversee the implementation of network improvements and collaborate with internal IT teams.

Enhance network security by reviewing firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and threat protection measures.

Ensure seamless integration of new technologies with existing systems while minimizing disruptions.

Monitor network performance and ensure optimal operation using existing tools.

Maintain documentation of network configurations, changes, and procedures.

Provide guidance and training to IT staff on network management best practices.

Stay updated on networking trends and plan future infrastructure upgrades.

Troubleshoot network issues and provide ongoing support as needed.

Essentials:

Extensive experience with Cisco networking suite, including switches, wireless, and firewalls.

Strong background in conducting network assessments and identifying security risks.

Ability to maintain and stabilize legacy network tools and systems.

Experience with large-scale network upgrades and migrations.

Availability to work on-site at least two days per week.

Desired:

Experience with upcoming projects such as new phone system rollouts, SAP migrations, and core network upgrades.

Strong collaboration skills to work with security teams and IT leadership.
