The Director of the Astraeus Space Institute at UF will lead strategic growth in space-related disciplines, reporting to the Vice President for Research.
Candidates need a Ph.D., terminal degree, or equivalent, with a strong record in spaceflight research and experience managing large projects and teams.
This full-time, on-campus role involves program development, stakeholder engagement at university, state, federal, and international levels, and securing funding opportunities.
The Director may conduct research and potentially hold a faculty appointment. The initial five-year appointment includes administrative support and funding.
Preferred candidates will be innovative leaders with a vision for interdisciplinary space programs, fostering external collaborations and outreach aligned with Land Grant missions.
