Educational Interpreter - Vineland, NJ

Minimum 1+ years interpreter experience required. In this role, you will bridge communication for a Deaf or Hard of Hearing student, ensuring access to the educational experience.

Provide real-time interpretation between spoken English and ASL during classroom activities.

Support the student in understanding content, assignments, and social interactions.

Collaborate with educators and special staff to implement accommodations per the IEP.

Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries in line with FERPA and IDEA.

Participate in IEP meetings, offering insights on communication needs.

Prepare content in advance for effective interpretation and promote student independence.

Qualifications include fluency in ASL, RID or EIPA certification (minimum 3.5 EIPA score), and a high school diploma (associate or bachelor’s preferred).
