Software Engineer II (781019)

Review requirements of assigned work, design the solution, develop and test functionality. Assist QM team and Product Management in testing. Coordinate and work with core team and or other enterprise systems teams on the design and development of solutions. Participate in daily scrum meetings to provide status of work assigned and all other Agile ceremonies. Ensure that work produced is of high quality and adheres to organizational and best practices. Ensure the customer experience communications platform runs at peak capabilities with minimal interruptions in the continuous operation of the platform. Develop knowledge of Staples business processes and systems environment. Develop application documentation. Position is fixed location based in Framingham office; however, telecommuting from a home office may also be allowed.

Two (2) years of experience in a software development role.

Must have two (2) years of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

- Full life cycle of software development, including design, development, testing and implementation

Must have one (1) year of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

- High performance integrated enterprise platforms

- Building Web applications using Java, Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Relational Databases

- Building APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Data

- Linux, Apache and Tomcat

- CI/CD tools

- The following technologies: Java, Bitbucket, Spring Framework, Relational Databases, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Typescript, Rest APIs and Angular

- Application and Systems performance testing

- Working with Agile methodology and Jira

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a directly related field
