Job Description

James Cancer Hospital is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic care team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of recent IR or acute care RN experience and demonstrate strong clinical skills in a high-acuity setting. This role supports diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within the Interventional Radiology department, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures

Monitor and assess patients before, during, and after procedures

Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and multidisciplinary teams

Administer medications, contrast agents, and sedation per protocol

Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC electronic health record system

Uphold hospital safety and infection control standards

Requirements

Active RN license (Ohio or compact state)

Minimum 3 years of nursing experience (Interventional Radiology or critical care preferred)

EPIC charting experience required

Certifications:

BLS (Basic Life Support)

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

Schedule & Details

Hours: 5x8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday (variable shifts)

Setting: Hospital – Interventional Radiology
