Position Summary

We have an opening for a Sales Representative position at Vantage. This is a key role within our sales team. We are looking for a dynamic and skilled professional with experience in chemical product sales, preferably in the personal care market who can bring significant value to the business and to our customers. This is a remote office position, so it is essential to be located near a major airport. To succeed in this role, we are seeking someone familiar with commercial excellence, with a proven track record in value capture and the flexibility to travel extensively.

This role is responsible for driving sales and gross margin growth in assigned segments, customers, and territories. You will have the opportunity to develop account strategies and contribute to the overall business strategy and financial success. The position often requires extended working hours as needed, the ability to work well under pressure, and to perform in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Create, manage, and achieve sales and gross margin objectives for assigned responsibilities.

Prospect accounts, analyze market data, and provide insights for commercial alignment.

Build and develop new and existing accounts and manage sales opportunities in line with business and account strategies.

Resolve any issues faced by customers and manage situations to maintain customer trust.

Actively participate in Vantage’s Commercial Excellence Program by developing account strategies, creating pre-visit plans, conducting post-visit follow-ups, and actively managing the opportunity pipeline with CRM support.

Prepare visit reports, forecasts, and quarterly presentations on current or new commercial activities, new products, and other relevant market or competitive information.

Provide feedback to the relevant commercial functions on product performance, new customer or product opportunities, and competitive intelligence, including pricing data.

Deliver accurate sales forecasts for assigned accounts by analyzing market trends, customer demand, and pipeline opportunities to support supply chain and business planning.

Support the accounting and customer service teams with collection activities.

Collaborate with key stakeholders to drive commercial excellence.

Education & Experience

Desired background:

Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or chemical engineering.

5-8 years of experience in roles related to commercial functions within personal care or beauty segment in France.

Language skills: Fluent in French and English (written and spoken).

Location: Based in France, preferably near a major international airport.

Experience:

More specifically, we are looking for the following attributes and competencies:

Knowledge of principles and methods for demonstrating, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategies and tactics, product demonstrations, and sales techniques.

Ability to research, understand, and develop both existing and potential customers.

Strong planning, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.

Proficiency with commonly used software to support sales/marketing and business activities, including the MS Office suite and sales CRM; ability to conduct internet-based research.

Aptitude to apply logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems and to handle a variety of abstract and concrete variables.

Willingness and ability to travel between 25% and 50% or more of the time. Travel includes a mix of day trips and overnight travel.

Fast and proactive customer support is essential for success in this role.
