Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR Nurse Manager in Ohio with leadership experience and a valid RN license. Responsibilities
Work in the Operating Room (OR) management unit of a hospital setting
Oversees approximately 80 staff members across 18 OR suites
Primarily 1st shift with variable hours due to 24/7 unit operations
Day shifts (3x12 hours), 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Role includes planning, organizing, and evaluating patient care on a 24-hour basis
Responsible for strategic goal-setting and process improvement initiatives within the OR
Supervises, mentors, and evaluates patient care staff
Leads cross-departmental collaboration for patient care delivery
Exposure to management in a union environment preferred
Must promptly complete fingerprinting process after signing contract
Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
Former employees eligible after a 6-month break from the facility; current employees not eligible for travel assignments
All requests for time off must be declared prior to contract signing Requirements
Active OH or compact RN license required at time of consideration
Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree in Nursing or related field preferred
Minimum 3-5 years of clinical and management experience in a relevant care setting
At least 2 years of prior leadership and management experience required
Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
Two professional references required; at least one from a manager, director, or formal leadership position Benefits
