This is a rare opportunity to join a new greenfield team at the heart of our Digital organization, helping shape how IT technology transforms manufacturing and logistics at the LEGO Group. You’ll work on initiatives that drive optimization, scalability, reliability, and usability for our factories worldwide.

Core Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate robust, secure, and scalable solutions that meet the LEGO Group’s high engineering standards.

Champion and nurture a culture of craftsmanship, quality, and continuous improvement.

Safeguard the reliability and performance of our products, with attention to DevSecOps and production-readiness.

Collaborate closely with teams across the business, including our Shanghai team, to ensure seamless integration with existing systems.

Help define the team’s vision, backlog, and ways of working, taking ownership of the greenfield initiative.

Do you have what it takes?

Strong programming expertise in modern .NET (C#).

Hands-on experience with relational databases and event-driven architectures (e.g., RabbitMQ).

Curious to work with new technologies

A quality-first mindset with a track record of applying best practices.

Solid grasp of agile development practices.

Comfortable operating in large, complex enterprise environments.

Ambitious and proactive — able to take responsibility, drive initiatives, and influence the product roadmap.

A strong team player and role model, collaborative and goal-oriented.

Curious, open-minded, and passionate about building a positive engineering culture (and yes, learning through play).

Bonus skills

CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, and test automation.

Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices.

Experience with a front-end stack (preferably React using Typescript).

Experience with factory automation, OT systems, or industrial IoT.

Messaging technologies like MQTT, SparkplugB, or RabbitMQ.

Experience with infrastructure as code in cloud environments.

Exposure to Unified Namespace (UNS) architectures.

Familiarity with PLCs and OT systems.

Prior experience in greenfield or high-tech manufacturing environments.

Communication:

• Effective communication: Provides technical context and direction for less experienced engineers. Translates technical constraints / trade-offs to people within non-technical roles.

• Showcase work: Acts as technical guide in multiple areas and champions the achievements of the team on a regular basis and encourages engagement within the team.

• Documentation: Continuously monitors and improves the engineering documentation within the team.

• Relationship building: Works to build strong relationships with their teammates, lead, engineers, senior engineering manager, product manager as well as their teams' relevant business stakeholders.

• Handling disagreements: Encourages their teammates to openly share their opinions and contribute to discussions in a respectful manner. Approaches disagreement non-defensively and uses contradictory opinions as a basis for constructive, productive conversations. Is open to changing their perspective and plans based on others' input.
