We are expanding our engineering team and are seeking a skilled and innovative Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to the next generation of protected mobility solutions.
Role Summary
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing mechanical systems and components for armored vehicles. This includes working on armor integration, mobility systems, structural design, and survivability solutions from concept through to production.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for armored vehicles using CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo)
Integrate armor and ballistic protection systems into vehicle platforms
Perform structural and thermal analysis (FEA, CFD) to validate design integrity and performance
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (electrical, systems, manufacturing) to ensure seamless integration
Generate and maintain detailed drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation
Support prototype builds, testing, and production readiness activities
Ensure compliance with relevant defense standards and regulations (e.g., STANAG, MIL-STD)Requirements
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Minimum 35 years of experience in mechanical design (preferably in armored or military vehicle platforms)
Proficiency in 3D CAD and simulation tools
Understanding of materials used in ballistic protection (e.g., composites, high-hardness steels, ceramics)
Strong knowledge of GD&T, DFM/DFA, and manufacturing processes
Ability to work in a high-security, fast-paced engineering environment
Excellent problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills
