Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers
Process accounts payable and receivable
Reconcile bank statements, general ledger and account balances
Assist with all tax and statutory compliance
Assist with payroll processing and related reconciliations
Monitor cash flow and prepare financial reports
Support month-end and year-end close processes
Help prepare financial reports, statements, and analyses
Assist with audits and liaise with external auditors and tax consultants
Maintain asset registers and depreciation schedules
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
Perform administrative support tasksRequirements:
Qualification:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with SAIPA/SAICA articlesExperience:
Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting and bookkeeping experienceSoftware:
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Acumatica, QuickBooks, SAP, Microsoft) with Acumatica experience a massive advantage
Strong understanding of South African tax laws and financial regulations
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlinesPreferred Attributes:
Experience with inventory and job costing systems
Understanding of international finance and multi-currency environments (for global firms)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
