Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool assignment with night shifts and floating requirements, requiring an OH or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
Work in a hospital-based Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool
Float between NICU, CV PICU, ED, stepdown, and medical-surgical units as needed
Patient population includes pediatric critical care patients
Night shift schedule (4x12 hours, 19:00–07:00)
Floating between multiple specialized pediatric units is required
EMR system used is Epic and prior experience is required
Candidates must be willing to comply with frequent floating as part of the float pool team
No time off will be approved for December 24th or 25th and candidates must be available through the New Year
Work environment includes exposure to Level 1 Trauma care
Timeliness is strictly enforced with late arrivals considered after 3 minutes
First-time travelers may be considered if they meet experience criteria
Requirements
Active OH or compact RN license in hand
Minimum 2 years of pediatric nursing experience highly preferred
Epic EMR experience is required
Two references required for consideration, with at least one being managerial or supervisor
Candidates must not have worked permanently at this facility within the past 2 years
No local candidates accepted; must reside more than 60 miles from the facility
First-time travelers will be considered on a case-by-case basis, typically requiring 3+ years' experience and Level 1 Trauma background
