Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position in Alaska requiring an active AK RN license and night shift availability.
Responsibilities
Work in a Medical-Surgical unit with 31 beds
12-hour night shifts are required
Assignments include every other weekend according to department procedures
Care is managed using the nursing process and principles of primary nursing
Equipment used includes Meditech, OBIX, and Pyxis Supply Stations
No floating to other units or departments
Meditech and OBIX system training provided along with a three-day orientation
Medication testing must be completed on site within the first two weeks
Scrubs are provided for staff
On-call may be required as needed according to department policy
Requirements
Active AK state RN license required
Minimum of 3 years recent Med-Surg nursing experience
Current BLS certification and HS AED required
Strong critical thinking skills necessary
