Duties Help * Provides training and coaching on Agile Software Development methodologies and DevSecOps.

* Leads project teams to implement modern software development practices and principles.

* Monitors and evaluates policies, practices, procedures, techniques, methods, and management controls affecting software development.

* Assesses the effectiveness of existing software development processes to uncover areas for improvement.

* Negotiates effectively with practitioners and management to accept and implement recommendations.

* Conducts formal maturity assessments for system teams.

* Develops project plans and provides oral and written updates to management on status of current projects.

Basic Requirement: Applicants must have IT-related experience demonstrating the following competencies appropriate to, or above, the level of this position.

* Problem Solving - identifying alternatives to address complex information technology-related issues by gathering and applying information from a variety of sources that provide a number of potential solutions.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement: qualified applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-12) in the Federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

Specialized experience is defined as: Experience with the software development life cycle of IT systems and applications; experience leading projects and teams; experience applying modern software development principles and practices, such as Agile and DevSecOps; experience in applying structured project management activities and communicating and briefing management on project status.

You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
