What we need: We are seeking energetic, passionate people who enjoy the outdoors and want to play a key role for the position of Natural Resources Engineer 3 within the Division of Water Resources, headquartered at Fountain Square, assigned to Franklin County.

What you will do… * Act as project manager for assigned projects, including oversight of projects assigned to lower-level engineers * Act as lead inspector and prepare written inspection reports for assigned projects * Provide technical assistance and guidance to lower-level staff, consultants, dam owners, and public officials * Investigate hazard potential for dams and make recommendations regarding hazard classification to program managers * Attend and participate in meetings, seminars, conferences, and other training opportunities to improve technical knowledge * Starting hourly pay of $39.22/hr with multiple pay increases over your first 6.5 years of service, with an end salary of $55.99/hr.

* There may also be cost of living adjustments (COLA) applied.

Longevity pay supplements begin after five (5) years of state service.

UNUSUAL WORKING CONDITIONS: May be required to work hours outside of normal business hours in the office &/or in the field in the event of a dam safety or flooding emergency.

Certificate of registration as professional engineer issued by State Licensing Board AND 12 mos.

equivalent related engineering experience.
