Description:

Under direction of the Associate Administrator in the Office of Exceptional Children: * Research special education policies * Analyze data and summarize findings * Present research results in written and graphical formats * Prepare presentations for stakeholder engagement * Communicate relevant and accurate information, clearly and concisely during formal or informal meetings * Collaborate with others to accomplish goals * Use various tools and technologies to prepare and share documents and reports * Provide essential support such as arranging meetings, taking notes, and responding to routine inquiries * Collaborate with the State Systemic Improvement Plan (SSIP) and State Personnel Development Grant (SPDG) leads to implement each project.

* Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: * Current enrollment in baccalaureate or graduate degree program.

Desired Qualities: * Interested in education policy and research, specifically special education * Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint * Ability to write and communicate succinctly and clearly * Capable of working independently and in a team setting * Self-motivated * Strong interpersonal skills * Desire to work as part of a team and interact with the education community * Experience working in a professional environment
