North Phoenix Animal Clinic is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our team! This is an excellent position for candidates with foundational training who are looking to grow their career in veterinary medicine.
In this role, you will provide assistance to Veterinary Technicians and Veterinarians, including gentle animal handling and restraint during outpatient procedures such as physical exams, vaccines, and blood draws. You will prepare and clean patient areas throughout the day including exam rooms and procedural/treatment areas, anticipating team needs and ensuring preparedness and efficiency.
This is an ideal position for efficient multi-taskers who enjoy a supportive role in a team-oriented environment!
This is a full-time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Full-time benefits and compensation**:
Compensation: $18-18.50 per hour, for each hour worked*
Bonus package: $500 for those with 3+ years of consecutive, current VA experience

Minimum qualifications and skill set:
1+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
Proficiency in the following skills:
Basic restraint
Oral medication administration
TPR/NT/AG
Exam notes/scribe
Client communication/education
North Phoenix Animal Clinic is a small animal, two-doctor practice offering a wide range of services to the local community. From wellness care and dentistry to surgery and diagnostics, our clinic sees a variety of cases each day. We’re equipped with digital radiographs, dental x-rays, IDEXX in-house lab equipment, ultrasound, and cold laser therapy. Records are fully digital using Pulse software.
