Staff Pharmacist - Laurel, Montana

Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A pharmacy opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist focused on delivering accurate and safe medication management in a retail setting. This role offers a contract-to-hire arrangement with a long-term placement goal in Billings, Montana, ideal for pharmacists open to relocation and seeking stability.

Location:

Laurel, MT, with relocation to Billings

Schedule:

40 hours per week

Monday through Friday, day shifts

Key Responsibilities:

Verify and review medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and patient safety

Prepare and package non-sterile medications as required (no sterile compounding)

Assist with register operations, drive-thru service, and prescription entry

Ensure compliance with store policies, state and federal regulations, and compounding standards when applicable

Monitor pharmacy technicians daily workflow to promote efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications and Experience:

Active and clear Montana Pharmacist License required; pending licensure considered (candidate responsible for licensing fees)

BLS (Basic Life Support) certification mandatory

Immunization certification required

Minimum of 1 year retail pharmacy experience; strong new graduates encouraged to apply

Experience with Liberty pharmacy software preferred

Previous exposure to a high-volume pharmacy setting advantageous
