Academic Coordinator Summer

Join a global company with international exposure as an Academic Coordinator for Summer 2026! In this role, you’ll work closely with the Academic Manager to ensure everything runs smoothly on the academic side of the program. From preparing classroom materials and organizing schedules to supporting and overseeing the team of teachers, you’ll help create an engaging and effective learning environment for our international students. What You'll Do:

- Collaborate with the summer management team to ensure the smooth operation of academic programs and deliver outstanding customer service to students.

- Assist teachers in planning inspiring, supportive lessons that build students’ confidence in using the language.

- Observe classroom sessions, provide constructive feedback, and support the professional growth of the teaching team.

- Manage academic timetables and ensure efficient administration of student and teacher schedules.

- Prepare and maintain teaching materials, resources, and classroom documentation.

- Conduct regular checks on teacher administration, provide feedback, and cover for teacher absences when needed.

- Handle student inquiries and resolve academic issues in a friendly and professional manner.

- Monitor attendance, including follow-ups and issuing attendance letters.

- Share emergency phone duties on a rota with other staff.

- Collaborate with other departments to align academic activities with wider school operations.

Who You Are:

- A team player with strong managerial or supervisory experience.

- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

- TEFL qualified (or equivalent), ideally with a CELTA or similar 60-hour face-to-face certification.

- An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills and fluent English (C2 level).

- Experienced in working with kids and teens, with a supportive and positive attitude.

- Calm under pressure, proactive, and committed to delivering exceptional service and academic quality.

- Flexible with working hours, including weekends.

- Proficient in English (C2 level preferred) and legally eligible to work in Malta (Maltese/EU passport).

Details:

- Duration: Contract starting from mid/end of May till August.

- Schedule: Full-time, 6-day work weeks on shift bases, including evenings and weekends.

- Safeguarding: All roles are subject to police conduct checks and character reference checks.

- Eligibility: Must legally be able to work in Malta with a Maltese or EU passport. Has a high level of English.

- Must be available for training dates before start date. Mandatory training will be happening sometime between the middle and end of May. Specific dates to come soon.
