Litigation Legal Assistant Opportunity in Columbus!

Aspen Careers is partnering with a prestigious law firm to find a Legal Assistant to join their litigation team, with a specialized focus on workers' compensation. The ideal candidate will have prior experience supporting attorneys in a fast-paced legal environment, particularly in managing workers' compensation claims, litigation filings, and client communications.

Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to attorneys in the litigation area.

Prepare, format, and file legal documents.

Manage and maintain case files, calendars, and deadlines.

Coordinate depositions, hearings, and meetings with clients, experts, and court personnel.

Monitor and track workers' compensation claims and ensure timely submission of required documentation.

Open new client matters.

Enter attorney time and process reimbursements.

Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all client and case interactions.

The Ideal Candidate:

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a legal assistant, preferably in litigation and workers' compensation.

Familiarity with state workers' compensation procedures and regulations.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a deadline-driven environment.

Balances team and individual responsibilities.

Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; looks for ways to improve and promote quality.
