Reporting to the Manager IT Ontario Operations, you will be part of the Information Technology Department. You will facilitate the organization to provide effective service delivery, technology solutions and effective cost management. You will also manage the Regional Helpdesk Team and hardware, infrastructure, computing resources, networks and enterprise systems. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
Manages, develops, and maintains the Regional Helpdesk function and technology, maintains partnerships with internal AEM Global Support team and third-party vendor; escalates support requirements and ensure priorities and addressed where required;
Work closely with AEM Corporate Teams and AEM sites IT Teams to enable alignment with the governance and standards, policy, cyber security, audit, compliance and procedures;
Oversight accountability of team members to ensure timely and effective service delivery;
Business process controls as they relate to IT;
IT hardware Inventory planning and management.
Post-Secondary education in a Technology centric field OR appropriate IT exposure and experience;
10 years of IT experience, preferably in a mining or industrial setting, 5 of which in a leadership role;
Project management experience;
Expert knowledge of information technologies, supporting and designing of system as it relates to the Agnico Eagle portfolio of IT Systems (ServiceNow, UNIFI, Cisco, VMware, Cluster PBX, Windows Server, O365, Wireless Communications, etc);
Experience in the mining industry would be considered an asset;
Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
Your Work Schedule:
Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday at our Timmins Regional Office. Occasional visits to site may also be required.
