FCAS Security – Senior Lead Integration and Operational Delivery

We have a vacancy in our FCAS Security SLT to lead all aspects of the threat intelligence capability for the FCAS programme, including delivering a threat aware, intelligence-led supplier assurance capability. The successful candidate will need to apply judgement and business acumen to drive down security risk and ensure integration with wider programme delivery risks.

The job holder will be central to the development and implementation of a security model fit-for-purpose to enable this sixth-generation combat air system. It will require innovation to take advantage of emerging technology and the strategic vision and stakeholder skills to ensure impact can be scaled across the programme.

The role is FCAS Security – Senior Lead Integration and Operational Delivery at our site in Warton.

Your main responsibilities as a FCAS Security – Senior Lead Integration and Operational Delivery will involve:

· Lead all aspects of the threat intelligence capability, including requirements capture, internal and external tasking, stakeholder management, dissemination and threat awareness briefing across the FCAS line of business (LoB) and associated partners.

· Drive the delivery and operational implementation of programme specific security policy frameworks with MOD, industry partners and internal BAE stakeholders across legal, commercial and engineering teams to ensure FCAS and GCAP activity is conducted in a secure and contractually compliant manner.

· Oversee the accurate identification and capture of LoB security risks and identification of control measures, including assessment of efficacy, to ensure a suitable degree of security assurance is maintained and FCAS security risks are effectively integrated with wider programme delivery risks. Ensure alignment of risks across differing customer and organisational risk management frameworks.

· Oversee the effective understanding, capture and mitigation of security risks across related technology demonstrator programmes in partnership with MOD customer teams and other stakeholders. Adapt to emerging security requirements in support of the GCAP programme and manage resource and security SME effectively to meet evolving customer requirements.

· Lead all aspects of delivering a threat aware, intelligence led supplier assurance capability, including effective integration with both Edgewing and wider BAE supply chain security frameworks. Ensure that effective policies, processes and tooling are implemented to aid risk discovery, drive mitigations and inform situational awareness of FCAS and GCAP supply chain security risks.

· Play an active role as part of the FCAS Security SLT delivering against BAE’s Lead System Integrator responsibilities with MOD, Edgewing and K4 commercial partners. Recognising the commercial, political and reputational aspects of the FCAS and GCAP programme, apply appropriate judgment and business acumen in driving down security risk and taking advantage of emerging technologies to scale impact across the programme.

Your skills and qualifications:

Essential:

· Capacity to build trustful relationships on all levels of the organisation.

· Very good written, verbal and presentation skills.

· Strong people management skills.

· Ability for pragmatic decision making / ability to work with the business and find cost effective solutions and risk mitigation.

· An ability to understand when to escalate matters for senior input.

· Procedures fully understood and role holder confident in solutionising from these procedures.

· Manages own areas of responsibility on a project and understands areas of personal responsibility.

· History of making evaluative judgments of both factual and qualitative information drawn from a variety of sources.

· Ability to translate Business Strategy into action to creating winning solutions and output for the business.

· Ability to work within a team.

· Politically astute with excellent communication and influencing skills.

· Strong stakeholder management skills with a track record of communicating at senior leadership level.

· Relevant security experience in government or industry (essential)

· Relevant qualifications in security industry from a certified body, and/or education to Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (desirable)

· Must hold or be willing to hold at least DV security clearance.

· Understanding of legislation and regulations across the market/ business area.

· Knowledge approaches to security management including physical, information and personnel security.

· Experience of security risk management techniques.

· Experience of incident investigations.

· Good understanding of government and industry standards and best practice guidance.

· Experience of delivering security management and protecting high value assets and working in high risk environments. In-depth knowledge of HMG and industry standard security policy, standards and good practice guidance.

· Holistic approach to security, ideally with experience in Cyber/Info Security.

· Experience of using intelligence to inform security requirements.

· In-depth knowledge of HMG and industry standard security policy, standards and good practice guidance.

· Understands how the area collectively works together in order to meet objectives and the roles of others in their immediate team in order to help carry out their role effectively.

· Understand the business strategies and priorities and deliver solutions that best meet them.

· Understands internal organisational structure and lines of accountability.

· Experience of operational implementation of programme specific security policy frameworks with MOD, industry partners and internal BAE stakeholders across legal, commercial and engineering teams to ensure FCAS and GCAP activity is conducted in a secure and contractually compliant manner.
