JOB TITLE: EMBEDDED NETWORK ENGINEER

REPORTS TO: CHIEF ENGINEER
CLASSIFICATION: EXEMPT

PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Embedded Network Engineer is responsible for developing and testing network configurations for aircraft systems to ensure optimal performance, functionality, and security. This role involves validating system behavior, documenting results, and supporting the integration of new networking configurations into operational platforms.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop Network configurations for aircraft.
Test the network configuration for the aircraft
Develop sub-programs and driver code in high-level programming languages (C++, C )
Test and document system behavior, performance, and security.
Test and developed new networking configuration
Monitors and analyzes network usage and capacity for UAV systems
Involves problem-solving, following standardized practices and procedures.
Collaborate with management, departments, and customers to identify end-user requirements and specifications
Design, write and update system documentation and network diagrams.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot network architecture
Analyzing existing hardware, software, and networking systems.
Creating and implementing scalable networks according to specifications.
Resolving technical issues with networks, hardware, and software.
Perform other duties as are necessary and/or required
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, network security or other related field with 2-5 years of related experience, or a master’s degree with 2 years of related experience.
Security clearance or ability to obtain a clearance.
Technical experience with supporting hardware development utilizing antenna, RF, digital, and microelectronic technologies
Experience with coding & scripting languages (i.e., C++, C, Python, Arduino, MATLAB)
Experience working with Sensors Payloads
Experience with aerospace development, production, or operations
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge and interest in computer systems and the latest technologies
The ability to learn new technologies quickly
The ability to communicate complex procedures to other colleagues
Good communication skills – both written and verbal
Attention to detail and desire to probe further into data
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
Ability to traverse manufacturing facility
Full-time
