Nurse Supervisor - Clinical Shift Leader - Full-Time

Schedule: Full-Time Rotating Shifts

Location: North Central New Mexico

Pay Range: Competitive pay based on experience and licensure

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily nursing functions and staff assignments across hospital departments

Serve as a clinical resource to support nursing decision-making and safe care delivery

Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges to promote efficient flow

Conduct patient rounds and support real-time issue resolution and service recovery

Ensure staff adherence to hospital protocols, safety measures, and regulatory standards

Support staff development by coaching, mentoring, and participating in performance reviews

Respond to emergency codes, including Rapid Response and Code Blue

Collaborate with hospital leadership and clinical teams to maintain continuity of care

Maintain clear documentation and communicate shift details to incoming supervisors Qualifications

Education:

Graduate of an accredited RN program (BSN preferred) Licensure & Certifications:

Current RN license in the state of New Mexico or compact state

BLS required

ACLS required (or within 6 months of hire)

PALS, TNCC, CPI, or NRP certifications as needed by department Experience:

3 years of clinical RN experience strongly preferred

Leadership experience in acute or critical care settings a plus Key Skills:

Strong interpersonal, coaching, and critical thinking abilities

Capable of managing staff in high-stress or emergent situations

Proficiency in electronic health records and hospital workflows
