As a Geothermal Geophysicist, you’ll involve in using physical measurements to understand Earth's heat and potential for renewable energy. This include collecting and analyzing geophysical data, interpreting subsurface heat flow, modelling geothermal reservoirs, conducting field surveys in various conditions, collaborating with engineers and geologists, and reporting findings to support sustainable energy development.

As a Geothermal Geophysicist, you will be responsible for:

Conducting field surveys to collect geophysical data, such as MT resistivity, seismic waves, gravity, and other applied earth physics techniques.

Processing the collected data to be ready for interpretation, namely 1D, 2D, 3D modeling, and etc.

Interpreting the data and integrate the data with other disciplines, namely geology, geophysics, geochemistry, and reservoir engineering.

Working with geologists, engineers, and other scientists to design experiments and integrate geophysical findings into subsurface characterization, resource delineation, resource estimate, reservoir processes, and others.

Utilizing advanced software for data processing, interpretation, and 3D subsurface modeling to better understand geothermal reservoirs.

Preparing detailed reports and presentations on findings and recommendations for stakeholders, contributing to scientific publications.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

Have bachelor’s or master’s degree in Geology, Geophysics, Earth Sciences, Physics, or Geological Engineering.

Have at least 10 years’ experience in Geophysics /Geology experience in a wide variety of reservoir types

Have great foundation in physics, mathematics, and earth sciences.

Have experience with geophysical instrumentation and data analysis software.

Have proven ability to interpret seismic data, magnetic fields, and other geophysical measurements.

Have ability to work in remote locations, handle specialized equipment, and ensure data accuracy.

Have excellent verbal and written communication to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
