Job Description
The State of Ohio DPS is seeking an experienced .NET Programmer 5 to work onsite in Columbus, OH. The consultant will collaborate closely with IT supervisors, project managers, business analysts, QA developers, and other developers in an Agile development environment.
Responsibilities
Gather and analyze requirements, design and develop applications, perform unit and integration testing.
Create presentations, demo software changes, deploy updates, and provide customer support.
Rewrite and modernize legacy applications using C#, ASP.NET Core MVC, Web API, and SQL Server.
Develop scalable, secure, and maintainable N-tier architecture applications following ODPS standards.
Work cross-functionally to deliver user-friendly, robust, and high-performance solutions.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and code reviews.
Required Skills and Experience
10+ years of ASP.NET development using C#.
10+ years of experience developing applications using Entity Framework (EF 4.0 or later).
10+ years of experience with SQL Server (database design, stored procedures, query optimization, tables, views, and functions).
10+ years of verifiable Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) experience developing and securing WCF services.
10+ years of experience or strong understanding of code repository strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and recovery using Azure DevOps (TFS).
7+ years of experience developing projects under the Agile methodology.
5+ years developing RESTful APIs and web services using .NET Core and .NET 5/6/8.
5+ years of experience with Azure DevOps (including Git, boards, and CI/CD pipelines).
5+ years of experience developing mobile-compliant applications.
2+ years of experience with Microservices architecture.
2+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft C# .NET Core and .NET 5/6/8 frameworks.
