SUMMARY

At Aao Jee, we aim to make our customers dining experience truly special! Whether it is for planning a celebration, a romantic evening, or simply indulging in the rich flavors of authentic Indian cuisine, at Aao Jee we serve them all.

We are currently looking for a qualified Chef with adequate knowledge and skills for preparing various Indian food items at our restaurant located in Fraser, ACT. If you are a friendly and skilled person looking for opportunities, we look forward to hearing from you.

DUTIES

• Develop and execute traditional Indian food recipes while contributing creative ideas for menu innovation.

• Prepare, cook, and present authentic Indian curries, tandoori dishes, and accompaniments to a fine dining standard.

• Overseeing the quality of dishes throughout preparation and presentation stages.

• Check stock levels, food deliveries and storage items to ensure adequate supplies are available at all time for the service each day.

• Ensure the highest standards of food hygiene, safety, and kitchen cleanliness in line with HACCP standards are always maintained during the kitchen operation.

• Train and supervise cooks and junior kitchen staffs on various food preparation techniques and skills.

• Collaborating with the Management, kitchen team and front of house team to deliver an exceptional dining experience for our customers.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Minimum of C-IV level qualification required (Preference will be given to someone also having Hospitality management qualification)

• Minimum of 1–2-year work experience in Indian Dining restaurant with appropriate Chef skills

• Must have flexible availability to work any of the 7 days on a rotating roster including the weekends and public holidays.

• Must have strong knowledge of Indian cuisine
