What is my role?
This position is both a proactive and hands-on key role for our organization. Responsible for full-cycle recruiting, providing solid internal employee and management support, administering and driving day-to-day HR responsibilities and process improvement, and providing onsite employee relations support in partnership with both local management and the broader HR team. Must be able to work effectively full- time on site, maintain confidentiality, employ flexible approach to immediate needs, and operate successfully in a fast-paced smaller company culture.
What You'll Do
Align HR strategies, policies, and programs with business goals to improve productivity, engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
Oversee all HR administrative functions in compliance with company policies, state, and federal employment laws.
Act as a hands-on HR leader, maintaining close connection with employees to monitor engagement, morale, and workplace culture.
Manage employee relations by fostering open communication, addressing concerns promptly, and promoting a positive, respectful environment.
Lead and implement HR initiatives that strengthen company culture, employee recognition, and inclusion.
Plan and execute company social and seasonal events to enhance team connection and morale.
Navigate and adapt to rapidly changing work environments while identifying opportunities for process improvement.
Manage HR projects with attention to detail, collaborating across departments and ensuring timely, effective results.
Communicate fluently and professionally in English and Spanish, translating HR documents and communications as needed.
Support safety and compliance programs, ensuring all workplace policies and procedures are understood and followed.
Maintain accurate records and ensure consistent HR processes across departments and teams.
Provide leadership in developing a workforce that is empowered, valued, and aligned with company goals.
What You'll Need
Bachelor's degree or master's degree in Human Resources or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
4+ years progressive work-related experience with demonstrated proficiency in multiple disciplines/technologies/processes related to the position
Must have 1-2 years of Manufacturing/Distribution HR experience
Self-starter with the ability to build trust and relationships at all levels
Experience supporting a small-to-mid-sized manufacturing, distribution and/or other fast-paced environment within a diverse organization.
Demonstrated success in prior HR roles with a progression in roles.
Prior safety and facility experience a plus.
Leads in a professional manner with honesty, integrity, humility and service.
Proficient bi-literal English and Spanish skills, required
Experience and understanding of facilitating communication and cooperation between home office in CA and field office in Ohio, working with both teams equally and seamlessly.
