Management Accountant

Our client is a major player in the logistics and fleet management space, known for operational excellence, innovation, and delivering end-to-end transport solutions across South Africa.

As the Management Accountant, youll play a pivotal role in providing financial insights, improving cost efficiency, and driving decision-making across operations. Youll partner closely with fleet, operations, and executive teams to ensure that financial targets and business objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.

Analyse financial performance, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.

Support operational teams with cost analysis, fleet performance metrics, and profitability reporting.

Lead financial planning processes and drive continuous improvement in reporting accuracy and turnaround times.

Monitor cash flow, cost centres, and project spending to ensure financial discipline.

Develop and implement financial controls aligned with operational and strategic objectives.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

BCom Accounting / Finance Degree (CIMA preferred).

35 years experience in a management accounting or cost accounting role, ideally within logistics, transport, or fleet management.

Proven ability to partner with operational teams and influence business outcomes.

Strong Excel and ERP system skills (experience with Sage, Syspro, or SAP advantageous).

Analytical mindset, high attention to detail, and strong communication skills.

Energetic, hands-on, and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
