Accountant III

This position will entail developing a well-rounded knowledge of the Company's operations, cost accounting processes and systems, and COPAS accounting guidelines with particular emphasis on capital and operating expenditures, joint interest billing and cost allocation.

It will encompass the following: * Analyze operating expense or capital costs general ledger accounts and other ad hoc analysis requests assigned.

* Prepare monthly and quarterly accounting journal entries for cost allocations, partner billings, accruals.

* Accumulate data for monthly and quarterly reporting.

* Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare correcting journal entries, if needed.

* Identify and recommend process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency.

* Other tasks as assigned.
