Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist (Neuro Specialist) with 2+ years IR experience and ARRT certification for a position at a Level II trauma facility.
Responsibilities
Work in an interventional radiology department at a Level II trauma center
Focus on neuro interventional procedures including angiography, carotid stenting, interventions, and stroke cases
Department averages 6-8 procedures per day
Staffing includes 6-7 RTs and 5-6 RNs per day
Uses Siemens imaging equipment and Epic EMR
Day shifts, 4x10-hour schedule from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM
Every other holiday coverage required
On call 1 weeknight (Monday-Thursday) each week and every 3rd weekend (Friday evening to Monday morning)
Floating within clinical scope may be required
Department provides 24/365 IR coverage and has a strong multidisciplinary support team
Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the full travel rate
Must be able to work every other holiday as scheduled
Pre-employment modules must be completed prior to start date
Return staff must have a break in service of more than 366 days to be eligible
More than one call-off during assignment is grounds for termination
NCNS (no call, no show) will result in immediate termination
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years recent interventional radiology experience with a neuro focus
Current OH Radiologic license required (pending accepted)
ARRT certification required (RCIS alone is not sufficient)
BLS certification required (pending accepted)
Experience with Siemens imaging equipment and Epic EMR preferred
License required if applicable
