Position Summary
Manage and oversee the daily operations of our production department at OH Plant. Responsible for managing production schedules, ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards, optimizing efficiency, and leading a team of production staff to deliver high-quality products.
Principal Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and manage all production activities to meet quality, safety, and efficiency targets
Develop and implement production schedules and workflows in alignment with demand forecasts
Monitor raw material usage and inventory to minimize waste and manage costs
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, HACCP, GMP, USDA, FDA, SQF
Maintain and enforce hygiene and sanitation standards across the production floor
Collaborate with QA, R&D, supply chain, and maintenance teams to optimize operations
Train, supervise, and evaluate performance of production staff and line supervisors
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in production efficiency, quality, and safety
Prepare and maintain production reports, KPIs, and documentation
Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions as needed
Ensure all machinery and equipment are maintained and operated safely - collaborate with maintenance and HR departments
Perform any other duties as assigned

Position Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Industrial Engineering, or substitute with 5 years of related field work experience
10+ years of experience in food production, with at least 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and industry best practices
Proven leadership, team management, and communication skills
Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus
Proficiency in MS Office and production management software (e.g., ERP systems)
Great verbal and written communication skills
Great interpersonal, teamwork and good listening skills
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong supervisory and leadership skills with the ability to effectively train others
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate

Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed
Must be capable of understanding work instructions in English, both oral and written
Physical Demands
To successfully perform the essential functions of this job the employee must be able to do the following: the employee is regularly required to sit and stand and to use hands and fingers. The employee is required to walk, bend, climb, and drive motorized vehicles. The employee must be able to lift up to 30 pounds. The specific vision required by this job includes both close vision and distance vision.

The work environment involves daily exposure to unusual hot and cold temperatures, humidity, and/or noise. The employee is required to work in a warehouse environment.
