We’re currently hiring for several roles in our Before and After School Program for the 2025-2026 school year at Lafayette School in Waterloo, NY.

JOB STATUS: Part-Time, Non-Exempt

POSITIONS OPEN: Substitutes, Assistants, Group Leaders, Supervisors, and Directors

PAY: $15.50 – $17.00 per hour (dependent on role, experience, and qualifications)

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

As part of the Before and After-School Program team, your responsibilities will include:

Leading hands-on activities aligned with the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academics, art, and group activities—plus supporting homework time.

Creating a safe, engaging, and supportive space while serving as a positive role model for participating children.

Staying in touch with families daily through communication on the Playground App.

Following state regulations, Healthy Kids policies, and any guidelines set by the host school.

Depending on your role, you may also manage administrative tasks like keeping accurate attendance, registration, and overseeing staffing.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

You're at least 18 years old and have a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience working with children under age 13 is a bonus—but not required. We value passion and a willingness to learn!

You're medically cleared to perform all job functions and are free from communicable diseases, including TB.

You’re positive, personable, and great with people—whether they’re kids, coworkers, or parents. You’re also dependable, professional, and always on time.

You’re physically up for the challenge: bending, stretching, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), and keeping pace with energetic children is part of the day-to-day.
