Since 1960, D’Youville Life & Wellness Community has provided Greater Lowell and surrounding communities with Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care earning the respect of its peers and the trust of the community at large.

We are seeking an Activities Director of our Assisted Living community – The Saab Residence.

$50,000 to $64,000 annually based on skills and experience.

Activities Director - Assisted Living Community Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in recreation, health education or related field.

2+ years of activities programming experience.

Experience with older adults preferred.

Activities Director - Assisted Living Community Job Summary:

Provide subject matter expertise to the management team regarding resident engagement and quality of life.

Negotiate and manage community contracts such as staffing, contract labor, vendors and entertainers.

Participate in the review of individual resident’s service plans and regularly documents progress.

Participate in discharge planning with other members of the management team.

Ensure Resident Programs meet all state, federal, and other regulations.

Develop and implement creative and exciting Resident Programs.

Manage volunteer program, including assisting with recruitment, training and supervising of volunteers.

Manage daily, weekly and monthly calendar of events.

Ensure marketing, promoting and communicating materials are of professional quality.

Coordinate resident transportation for events outside of the community.

Supervise Resident program assistants and the driver.
