The Ohio State University College of Dentistry seeks a Revenue Cycle Services Coordinator to join its Advanced Prosthodontics Education Program in the Restorative Science and Prosthodontics Division. The Ohio State University College of Dentistry is the fourth largest public dental school in the United States and it is the only public dental school in Ohio. The college is divided into eleven divisions with all major ADA-recognized dental specialties represented. The College has approximately 600 students in its undergraduate and graduate programs.
The Revenue Cycle Services Coordinator serves as primary point of contact for patients, residents, faculty, and students who are coming to the Advanced Prosthodontics clinic. This position functions as an integral member of a team of care providers in the College of Dentistry Advanced Prosthodontics to provide patient focused customer service and clerical support. Patients and their families will experience the benefits of patient focused care through the integrated skills of all team members.
Responsibilities Include:
Checking-in patients
Coordinating and gathering all documentation related to the patient chart
Overseeing accurate completion of necessary forms
Entering new patient demographics and insurance information into IHIS accurately and in a timely fashion
Taking incoming patient calls
Scheduling appointments with patients
May assist with checking-out patients
Provides a variety of clerical support services and collaborates with other members of the patient focused care team
Assists patients in their multidisciplinary care plans
Overall responsibilities include patient scheduling, patient check-in, verifying forms for accuracy and completeness, coordinating with care team, and disseminating information to the care team.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm, on-site
The targeted hiring pay range is $18.37 - $23.99 which will be based on education and relevant experience.
This position requires successful completion of a criminal background check and drug and alcohol screening.
Work performed primarily in an office environment and the employee in this class is subject to inside environmental conditions. This position requires sustained periods using a keyboard and performing other computer work. Requires sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, which permits the employee to function in a general office environment to accomplish tasks. Ability to lift 25 pounds with or without accommodation.
Required: High School diploma or GED. 2 years’ experience in a medical or dental office or customer service position or 2 years’ experience in office practices.
Desired: Knowledge of dental terminology and dental practices and procedures; 4-6 years’ experience in a medical or dental office.
