Job Title: Java Developer

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Schedule: Hybrid (4 days onsite)

Rate: $50/hour W2

Job Summary:

Seeking a Java Developer to design, develop, and support scalable, web-based Java applications for enterprise projects. The role involves collaborating within Agile teams, ensuring high-quality software delivery, and maintaining system performance.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement Java-based applications supporting business requirements.

• Create technical design documents and perform coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.

• Resolve technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation.

• Contribute to development of large-scale Java/Spring/Hadoop distributed systems.

• Perform unit and system testing and execute implementation activities.

• Ensure application performance standards are met.

• Analyze business requirements and create architecture-compliant technical designs.

• Lead or perform design, coding, testing, and documentation of complex systems.

Core Skills (Must-Haves):

• Java (Java 1.7/Java 1.8)

• Spring Framework

• RESTful Services

• MongoDB or Oracle Database

• GitHub

• Jenkins

• Gradle

• Unix Scripting

Foundational Skills (Expected):

• SQL (DB2 & SQL databases)

• Experience with RabbitMQ, JSON, Hadoop

Bonus Skills (Nice-to-Haves):

• AWS

• Python

Experience Requirements:

• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in Java development

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
