Job Summary
Our restaurant is looking for an experienced Kitchen Manager to help oversee daily operations. In this role, you oversee the kitchen and other back-of-house staff. As part of your staff management responsibilities, you hire and train new employees, complete the weekly schedule, and ensure compliance with food safety regulations. You also place food and beverage orders, working with staff to reduce food waste. Applicants must have experience working in a high-volume kitchen, preferably in a fine dining environment. Applicants with bilingual communication skills are strongly preferred.
Kitchen Manager Duties and Responsibilities
Hire and train kitchen employees
Oversee schedule of kitchen employees
Help oversee daily restaurant operations
Manage food inventory, placing food and beverage orders as needed
Work with staff to reduce food waste
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations
Kitchen Manager Requirements and Qualifications
Culinary degree or training a plus
Experience working in a high-volume restaurant kitchen is required
Prior restaurant management roles preferred
Bilingual communication skills strongly preferred (English/Spanish)
Organizational and time management skills
